Get involved
Nationwide Education has a wealth of material all linked into the curricula. It's fun, engaging and helps young people to develop important life skills. There are several ways that you could add value to the programme by becoming involved and running activities in a school.
We have produced a guide for employees to use when planning your lesson. Just log in, go to the appropriate subject area and look out for the PDF icon in the top right hand corner.
You could:
- lead one or more lessons using any of the material, starting with the interactive fun stimulus (story book or game) and following on with the fact or work sheets
- assist a teacher in delivering one of the Nationwide Education lessons
- work with pupils as individuals, in pairs or groups, or as a class (and add your personal flair)
- run a class or inter-class quiz using just the interactive games
- hold reading sessions using the interactive story books.
Whatever you choose, it should be a rewarding experience for all involved.
In order to register your interest, email corporate.responsibility@nationwide.co.uk providing:
- your full name and title
- your department/branch name
- your manager's name
- contact telephone and email address.
You will then be supplied with a username and password to access the employee volunteer section of the website.
